Summer Scholars 2026 Information

• All Summer Scholars courses during Summer 2026 will be In-Person at various locations (see below)

• All students who are registered for a class will be enrolled as space allows, per the Enrollment Prioritization Schedule. (Seen Below)
• Summer 2026 Class schedule will be available when registration opens in mid-May.
• Students must meet with their High School counselor to register for summer classes.

 Summer 2026 Dates:

• Registration will open in mid-May.
• There will be two sessions of classes during Summer Scholars
  • Session 1 Dates: June 22-July 9th.  (no classes on July 3rd)
  • Session 2 Dates: July 13-29th
• Classes meet for 13 days of each session. 
• Classes will be held from 9 am-12 pm at the locations below.

Enrollment Prioritization  

Summer Scholars will not enroll students for grade improvement or credit advancement. Students in these situations are invited to enroll in Evening Scholars. 

Portland Summer Scholars follows a prioritization process for situations when classes fill up to a maximum capacity. Our prioritization process is as follows:

1. PPS Seniors 

2. PPS Juniors, Credit Recovery and Credit Deficient

3. PPS Sophomores, Credit Recovery and Credit Deficient

4. PPS Freshmen, Credit Recovery and Credit Deficient
